The mission of LightsCameraModels.com is committed to the growth of individuals in the model/photographer industry by providing a venue to display their portfolios, network and connect with others and learn about the industry. LightsCameraModels.com promotes respect, professional integrity and a high standard of excellence by supporting the members it serves.

In light of the above Mission Statement, we provide these guidelines in order to have everyone using our site to give and receive the respect they deserve. To maintain a membership, you must follow these guidelines. They are for the respect/protection of the individuals using the site and the owners of LightsCameraModels.com.

Registration:  All required fields must be answered before moving forward to create your profile. Please update your personal contact info (for administrative use only) every 6 months to ensure LightsCameraModels.com can contact you if necessary.

Portfolios:  The registration page, profile section and images are used in creating your portfolio. Please update your profile and/or images at least every 6 months to show that you are active. You may have more than one portfolio if you have skills in different trades (ie, photographer, model, make-up artist). You may not have more than one portfolio in a single trade.

Inactive Portfolios:  Please update your portfolio on a regular basis and respond to messages that are received within 1 week. We understand that there are circumstances that will take you away from the industry for a while so we will you and if necessary add “dormant” status to your profile.

Messages:  Networking is a large part of what we encourage at LightsCameraModels.com. Messages and the Forum are the tools used on this site. All messages are to be kept respectful and professional to all involved. Don’t be afraid to have fun, we all want our work to be fun! Don’t we? If you encounter an issue, contact the moderator or administrator directly. We do take disrespect/harassment seriously and if it becomes a problem, the violator will be warned or have site privileges reduced. We are here to support members and want this to be a community of learning and growth for those new to the industry and experienced professionals. To be courteous, you are expected to respond to messages within 7 days. On the flip side, if you are sending messages to multiple people, familiarize myself with their portfolio and send a message relevant to what they do. This will make your experience more productive.

Image Standards:  All members start with 5 images for their portfolio.  You can upgrade to add more images and more features to your account.

Image Quality:  Please provide samples of work that reflects your skills and abilities. If you require assistance with portfolio development, ask in the forum or administration.

Image Size:  700 pixels max on longest side. Maximum 100KB, images are resized if larger.

Adult Content:  No pornographic, offensive or violent language or images are permitted anywhere on this site. This includes racism, sexual contact, harassment, name calling, profanity, explicit bondage, criminal, abusive, harmful, illegal, or anything similar to these. If you are unsure, do not post it and check with an administrator before posting.

Viewing Answers

Adjust your monitor to best view our site and ALL OTHER sites on the web
Many monitors are adjusted poorly or not at all. You can easily adjust your brightness & contrast settings on most monitors to greatly improve your view of the web, including of course our own images. The image below shows 11 shades of gray from White to Black. If you cannot see all 11, adjust your monitor to see as many as possible using your Brightness & Contrast settings.
Feel free to use this image on your own site if you wish. We certainly didn't invent this idea but took the time to create our own image and post for the benefit of all. Pass it Forward!

Adjust your screen resolution for easier web viewing
You can choose a balance of text size vs how much of a web page is displayed on your monitor.
- Right-Click on desktop (Windows) to "Properties"
- Click "Settings" tab
- Adjust "Screen Resolution" to your preference.
This site displays well in "800 * 600" and best in "1024 * 768", the two most common monitor resolutions. Higher resolutions will work fine too.
